How to do it

  1. 1Stand tall with feet hip-width apart, hands on your hips.
  2. 2Step one foot backward into a lunge, lowering your rear knee toward the floor.
  3. 3Keep your front shin roughly vertical as you descend.
  4. 4Push through your front heel to return to standing.
  5. 5Repeat on the same side or alternate legs.

  • Front heel drives you up
  • Torso stays upright
  • Control the step back
