How to do it

  1. 1Stand holding a barbell with an underhand, shoulder-width grip.
  2. 2Hinge forward to about a 45 degree torso angle.
  3. 3Row the bar up toward your lower abdomen, elbows driving back.
  4. 4Squeeze your back hard at the top of the row.
  5. 5Lower the bar back to a full stretch under control.
